Hello all,

it is really nice to have people like all of you here who are supportive and try to stay well informed; I, like many of you, am in the wating period, and I do live alone in Boston. Was just wondering, if there are other people who are like me and where can I get in touch with such group, for emotional support? It is really hard to go through that waiting time and the lonely weekends are not much of a fun for me right now. If there are other people reading this and are within the same are, please email me. The emotional support will help tremendously!

Hey Bostongirl,

I know exactly what you are going through, I went through the window period this summer, and for three more months after that, I took my final test. I am ok, and I think you should think that you are too. If you go around saying to yourself that you have it, it'll drive you crazy. I decided when I went through this to tell some of my closest friends and one of my sisters about it. It is very difficult to talk to anyone about it, but I believe it is very important to get support wherever you can get it, and human touch physically. I even picked up backgammon on the net and played for hours every day, just to get my mind focused on something else. I can't tell you that you're going to be fine, but the chances of getting HIV is very slim.
