Hi.. In March I had unprotected oral sex with a woman (I dont know her HIV status), and the next morning I discovered an open sore under my tounge... and about 6 weeks later I had swollen lymph glands, fever and pharingitis. I have tested for HIV (I dont know what kind of test, Eliza or Western blot, I dont live in the US) in June (3 months after exposrue) but the test came back negative.... i was a bit releaved, but my lymph nodes are still swollen..... I often have mild fevers too lately.... I'm planning to have another test in September (6 months).... I've read that there are alot of people tested negative but still have symptoms.... So is this a very common situation or is there something wrong with the test system? And also, do one need to fast before testing for HIV (I've heard about some blood tests that requires fasting)... and I didnt fast when i was about to take the test in June... so will this interfere with the test result ( giving me false negative result) ? And when do you guys suggest I should take a second test... September or in the near future? Its killing me.... Please reply anyone... Thanks alot for reading the message... sorry for the bad english
David
