worried about symptom

could someone please let me know if diarrhea is a symptom of acute hiv syndrome. i was dating this guy and i let him perform anal on me. now i'm worried. i tested at 8 weeks and it was negative. but i'm still having problems with diarrhea. it;s been 4 month's since exposure. diarrhea also for 4 month's. please let me know your thoughts.

No it is not a common symptom, if you are having a medical problem why attribute it to HIV and not go see your doctor? You never know, it could be something easy or something real bad like cancer or a disease that needs immediate attention. I have found it strange that people will have some semi-serious medical issues and test out to 6 months because they do not trust the tests but will not go see there doctor because they think it has the be a HIV symptom. The only person they are hurting is themselves!

Bill's right -- if you've had four months of diarrhea and a negative test, you shouldn't be on this board -- you should be at your doctor's office!
