Kiss, Finger, Lick - PLEASE READ!!
      #161662 - 10/11/05 10:45 PM

I met up with an old friend (girl) and I open mouth kissed this girl for a few (5?) minutes, and ended up "fingering" her for about the same amount of time. I have impacted wisdom teeth which do puss up at times, and my teeth aren't in the 'best' condition ( i do need to see dentist on this). I also am a habitual nail biter, and often "rip" or tear skin around the corner of my finger or cuticle area. I think at this time i had red -- either open with blood, or initial-scab on part of my cuticle. And at one point I licked her (on the outside) of her vagina. The whole episode (time we were near each other) did not exceed 10 minutes. I never removed any of my clothes, there was no actual intercourse.

After 4 weeks i got all kinds of symptoms, achieness, fatigue, swollen painful lymph nodes everywhere, weight loss, nausea, diarrhea, general stomach weirdness, and now canker sores in the back of my throat which i dont remember ever having there.

Some people say i am high risk, and others have said that kissing / fingering cause no risk, and that the lick outside the vagina, would a: have been licking dead virus, or b: saliva would have killed what remained, and so that is also no risk.

I am really really really really scared, but every time i talk with someone, they give me different / conflicting information.

I tested at about 4 weeks and was negative. Im still 5 weeks out from my 3 month mark and i am freaking out. PLEASE let me know, is this no risk, is testing warranted? Or should i be worried.

Thank you!

Nothing you've described sounds risky. Licking on the outside of the body is no risk -- even oral sex is considered low-risk. Kissing isn't risky, unless she had blood in her mouth. And torn cuticles as an infection route -- well, that just sounds too far-out. I think you should get a test at three months just to calm your fears, but I'm sure you're fine.
