HIV from sharing creams?

I borrowed hydrocortizone cream with aloe from a neighboor they had been using on the baby. If the baby had HIV and I used the same ointment could I get HIV?

Even if they rubbed it on the baby's rash, then touched the tip of the bottle, and I rubbed it on my rash? Would it die in the hydrocortisone cream?

i think you and worried12 need to get together and bond. i can not believe you people have the balls to get on here and ask these kind of questions. educate yourself about the disease, then ask questions. do you really think touching cream is going to give you hiv? if that was the case don't you think the world would make their own special island for us positive people to go to, so we did not infect others with our creams and toilet seats and silver ware we use at resturants?

I think this poster IS "worried12." I think it's the same person. "Worried12" has posted numerous times on this board using different names, but you can tell by the writing style and spelling ("hydrocortizone") that it's the same person.

i was sitting around this morning before going to work thinking that i may have sounded like a hag. last night my husband told me not to be so rude, but in all honesty i find it hard to not be rude, when i can find the time to research hiv and then you have someone that comes along and can come up with the dumbest questions. i have to wonder if the questions are real or if someone is just really trying to annoy people or what? you know at one time i was one of those people that really just did not know much about hiv, but i never thought i was going to get it from a tube of hydro cream. are people really this oblivious to the causes of hiv? i almost had myself convinced i was an asshole with my response.... i feel better now that i have read what steve wrote (not saying he's an ass), but it made me feel better since he agreed. i guess i just don't understand people.
