i had 2 possible exposures in the past month. 5 weeks ago i met a guy out of town, i let him rub his penis between my ass to get friction & i did notice that he penetrated me a few times. i do not think he ejaculated inside me, but im not sure. about 2.5 weeks ago i hooked up with a bi guy who had a big dick. i tried to get it all down my throat, it wouldnt fit. could this have made a tear at the back of my throat. he did ejaculate in my mouth. just over a week ago, i began to experience extreme fatige and some slight muscle cramps, 2 days later i had diaherra & a 100.4 temp. a friend gave me antibiotic Augmentan and after taking it 4 days i still had a 100.4 temp on occassion. went to the doctor yesterday , said it looked like i have nasal infection & some fluid behind the ear, perhaps from the flu. he gave me a prescrition for Zythromax. after 2 days of taking that, i still have 99.6 temp off and on. in the past, whenever i take anti biotics, my fever is gone within 24 hours. this time is has not. im going on monday (today is early fri am) to get one of those 20 min tests. if i'm beginning servo conversion now , will the test read correctly?

Symptoms do not equal HIV...wish I could practice what I preach sometimes, but it is true....your symptoms could be anything....the oral sex is very low risk....the other act does carry risk....get tested....the average person takes 25 days to test positive and 12 wks is definitive...
good karma! I get my 12 wk results tomorrow

Hi PA guy,
If you were indeed exposed, it's possible that you would test positive already. But for a definitive test, you need to wait three months after your latest risky encounter. I'd be more concerned about the anal penetration than the oral sex, but just to be on the safe side, you might use the oral as your benchmark and test three months from then.
Your symptoms could be due to anything. Antibiotics will only kill bacteria -- they won't do a thing for a virus. So if you had any virus (like the flu) the antibiotics would have no effect. Don't assume you've been infected with HIV just because you had that illness. I hope you feel better.
Steve
