I've been tested for HIV before and they always did the 2 tests, HIV-1 and HIV-2. I got the results for my latest test (a bit of OCD here, I've posted here before), they sent it to Quest and they only tested for HIV-1.. I'm a little worried, what if I am positive for HIV-2? Should I get tested for BOTH viruses? Thanks..

If it will ease your mind I guess it may be worth it, but it is probably not necessary. The people testing you would test you for it if it were prevalent in that area. It only stands to reason?
My understanding is you only need it in Africa or if your exposure is from someone from Africa.
