Oraquick - oral fluid definitive at 100 days
      #161147 - 10/04/05 08:46 PM

Well, I was the guy who had unprotected vaginal insertive in Vegas with all the symptoms, nightsweats, lowgrade fever, chills, weightloss (7lbs), after the night sweats at week 4 I discovered ARS and lost my mind, I wasn't ever worried about HIV till then. Well, I tested negative via oraquick blood drop at 7.5 weeks (convinced it would be positive) and I just tested NEGATIVE an oraquick oralswab(convinced it was positive) at an HIV Clinic 100 days after exposure. My question: Can I Woohoo this 14 week result and take it as definitive and finally move on??? Also got the results of a CBC today as well as Tcell counts, Liver function, IgG levels, all were within normal ranges. Can I move on, I mean, I called off the rest of the week for work already because I was convinced I would be positive after tonight.???

Thanks Gman, I guess this was my wakeup call. I guess if I really had it something would have shown up at 7.5 or 14 weeks or on alll the bloodwork I had done. Thanks for your words of encouragement a few weeks ago, although I continued to freak out and was too afraid to go get tested again until 14.5 weeks.to Now I just need to go to the dentist, I've been afraid to until now. I appreciate your courage and your advice. Take care and god bless.
