Can mouth ulcers increase the risk of HIV transmition through oral sex? I have performed oral sex to another guy of unknown status whilst I have had an ulcer on the inside of my top lip.

Since HIV enters the body through the bloodstream, it stands to reason that open ulcers could increase risk. But I don't think anyone is sure how much more risky the sex becomes -- twice as risky? Ten times? -- and you'd still have the inhibitory effects of saliva working against any HIV present. Oral sex is generally a very low-risk activity. Personally, I don't think you're at much risk, but get tested after 3 months if you're concerned and you'll put your mind at ease.
