Other than ARS, how soon do other hiv symptoms usually appear? For instance weight loss, yeast infection, etc.

I am struggling with the same questions right now. I am six 1/2 weeks post potential exposure and think I have have a recurrent yeast infection....I haven't been able to get a clear answer on whether or not that is possibly a symptom. My doctor has said it isn't necessarily "too soon" just not likely....that didn't make me feel any better. So, he suggested that I go to gyno to see if it really is a yeast infection. From what I understand, you can go up to ten years without any symptoms of hiv infection though. Are you having problems now??? I will say a special prayer for you.

On average person is asymptomatic for around 10 years.
This is why people can be infected an not even know for years.
