How bad is pre-cum?

I was in a relationship with someone for 3 months. We talked about our histories before we had sex. He assured me that he did not have HIV cause he had just had a number of blood tests done (not HIV related) shortly before we were together. I stupidly had unprotected sex. After the relationship ended I went in for my annual pap smear and found out that I had "High-Risk" HPV meaning I didn't have the warts, I had the strain that could cause cervial cancer. I went back in for a follow up and everything was fine. But the problem now is that I am very scared that if I was able to get HPV, then I could have very well gotten HIV also. In the time we were together I never let him ejaculate inside me. I'm sure I was however exposed to pre-cum. I know this is a high risk and I am currently in the process of waiting for a home access test result. Is pre-cum just as bad as full semen?

I dont know what you mean by he had a # of blood test done, but not related to hiv. ? how would that be at all reassuring? normal blood tests will not show anything abnormal in a person with hiv.
and yes, if you have put yourself at risk by getting hpv, then you are at risk for any other std.
Unforunately, the only way to answer your question is to be tested. Please be sure you are mentally prepared though...just in case. I know you have that full anonynomity with the home access (escpecially w/out someone seeing you). but it worries me that doing the home access when not menatally prepared could be bad for a person.
