Can anyone tell me if they have used the Mirates self home test with rapid results. This test has been approved in many of the EU countries. It's not a scam test like so many others. It's a real approved HIV test from the Netherlands. Can you get this test in the US?
I am hoping to hear from someone in the UK or Europe who has experience with this test and what formulation it used. I have read it uses the Elisa method, but cannot find what generation. The third and fourth generation Elisa tests can detect antibodies in 98% of people infected by week 6, whereas the second generation tests require 11 weeks to achieve the 98% mark. Does anyone know what version the Mirates test uses? Thanks!

I went to mirates website mirates.co.uk and they say their test is only 98% after 3 months. I hope that helps a little bit, if there is a different test that you are thinking about give me some more information and I would love to help you out.

The Mirates website quotes 99.7%. Not sure where you read 98%? This test was used and studied at checkpoint in Europe and the Netherlands specifically. It is deemded highly accurate and as sensitive as any test currently available to detect antibodies. If this test was only 98% sensativity, or accuracy, it would never have been approved for sale over the counter in the Netherlands. Their government medical establishment has every much as high of standards, if not more, then in the US.

I guess no one has ever used this test? Someone please help? Is this test legit????? How sensative is it????????? Is it equal to the newest elisa tests or what?
