There are other medical conditions that can cause low t-cell counts. You should be evaluated by a doctor. Whoever is ordering those t-cell tests should be talking to you about the possibilities.

there could be other causes for an immuno dificiency. if you have been tested for hiv and it has been negative, then this is NOT your cause for the decrease in your immune problem, but you should check into toher immune dificiency issues. My sister has lupus which causes an immune dificiency. But what would his reason for ordering a tcell count? You should ask him why he is concerned for your tcells, and what other possibilities it could be that he is trying to look for.
good luck, love and prayers, debbie

there are many other auto-immune conditions besides HIV. There are Hepatitis A thru G. What is your life style like. Do you smoke. High stress? Do you use recreational substances including alcohol ?? And most importantly: DO YOU HAVE A DOCTOR ?? when's the last time you saw him/her???
