Onset of ARS symptoms?

Had a high risk encounter - about five minutes of unprotected receptive anal, no ejaculation (dumb move, I know) - about 48 days ago. A few days ago, about 43 days after the encounter, I noticed swollen glands in my neck. And today noticed them in my groin. No other symptoms - no fever (trust me I've checked, repeatedly) or rash. I have lost some weight and had recurring bouts of dry mouth over the past six weeks, though (I've had considerable anxiety over my encounter - my first gay experience).
I've read (yes I've been compulsively reading HIV info sites) and have seen various accounts of the onset of ARS symptoms both 2 to 4 weeks and 2 to 6 weeks. Needless to say, my swollen glands at the end of the six week window have freaked me out. Which "time window" is more accurate or more common?
Also I recall reading somewhere (and can't find the reference) that it is possible for the virus to live for quite some time (weeks, I recall) inside the rectum/colon so infection could occur some time after the exposure. Is this accurate?

Symptoms are never a way to diagnos HIV. Go get tested to reassure yourself.
