no condoms=aids???
      #1511 - 04/02/00 10:04 PM

i'm a 20 years old woman and i had first slept with a guy when i was 17. since then i had 3 boy friends and i had slept with them all. i have a new boy friend now these days..and he doesn't like to use comdoms..and that makes me warry..i don't think i know much of an adis or hiv. i just want to know the symptoms of aids.
the werid things i have noticed:
1.it took me 5 days to get well from flu.
2.when i have my period it hurts me so much. but,as i recall, i didn't have much pain a few years ago.
3.i sometimes see some red dots on my skin which look like mosquito bits but i'm not sure it they are.i find them on my back, belly, arms almost every part of my body.

No condom means HIGH RISK, HIGH RISK of HIV and each and every other STD in this world. I wouldn't go for it unless I'm 100 percent sure about him and his health status. As for symptoms, they show up about 3-6 weeks after infection, and they are flu like symptoms. Oh and BTW, 100% sure you don't have AIDS. Even if you were infected when u were 17, it's just too early. Now to know your HIV status (wich is not the same as AIDS) get tested. I really think you and your partner should get tested for HIV and other STD's, and then proceed as you think you should. It's your life, therfore, your decitions, I just hope you make responsible ones wich will enhance your life, not harm it.

Well, one thing is for sure, you just can't know someones HIV status... unless you or that person get tested. Like I said, you should get tested, and since you are gonna doit, let him go with you and get tested also.
It won't harm... but help a lot.

You didn't mentioned that... anyway, convince the person you are right now that he has some kinda sypmtoms and then, using the fact that he doesn't likes to use condoms, make him get checked. Then keep talking to him, and tell him you may have been at risk earlier in life or something like that. If they say "what's the source", just plan putting a needle in the street (as stupid and lame as this may soung)*oh, sterilized one btw* and get pinched by it *be creative*.

I don't know, figure some kinda strategy to it, if you are still in doubt, e-mail me at p4481@hotmail.com, I'll be glad to help.

USE CONDOMS. Don't take no for an answer. You are worth more than that. And if you're concerned about possible past exposures, take an HIV test. You can get one mail-order via the Internet at the Home Access Health web page, or you can probably take a saliva test at a local clinic. Call your health department, or call the CDC 1-800-342-2437. USE CONDOMS.
