hi all:
this happened a little over a month ago:
in a foolish moment, i had about 30 seconds of unprotected vaginal intercourse w/ my ex. he didn't cum, and i was quick to find a condom. last i knew, he was clean, and i'd tested negative in january. however, i'm freaking out, and the more i read about ars symptoms, the more they appear. does anyone know the odds of actually contracting the virus this way? does this even warrent another hiv test?

Is it possible to talk to your ex about your concerns? Ask him about if he's had unprotected sex and if he's been tested. Obviously you can't get something from someone who doesn't have it. If you don't trust him, you could test to set your mind at ease. You obviously have some concerns or you wouldn't be on this site. But your risk from 30 seconds of unprotected vaginal sex is relatively small.
