I have been following this board for quite some time now and even posted as anonymous a couple of times. I have been to hell and back for the past 3 years. I have cried so much and endured many sleepless nights. I have had so many symptoms which convinced me I was infected. Today, I found out that my antibody and DNA test are negative, 5 years after a risky encounter. All I can say is, YIPPEE!!!! I am going to pop open a bottle of champagne tonight! I can now say goodbye for good to "The Body" - I am finally through with this nonsense!

You waited 5 years to test? Can I borrow some of your patience please?
If I test negative at 4 months I'll buy everyone champagne :->

Maybe he didn't realize he was at risk until a few years later.
