Hi there,
I had some recurrent fever attacks during the last 5 months with sore throat, swollen lymph glands, white spots at the back of my throat and tonque and very painfull swallowing. It was also 5 months ago I had an unprotected sex. exposure with a woman (once), status unknown. I performed and received oral sex and had short vaginal intercourse with her (about two minutes, not more). I did have an HIV-antibody test at 14 weeks, it came out negative. I worry a lot because of my symptoms. 12 weeks seems to be conclusive, why is it that I have still symptoms, am I the rare case where seroconversion takes place after 14 weeks? Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like some type of recurrent infection to me...again I'm not an MD but I wouldn't suspect HIV given your negative at 14 weeks.
Besides ARS does not "come and go" as I understand it.
Pus in the back of your throat would lead me to think some type of bacterial/viral infection.
Have you talked with your doc about this?
Again I'm no MD but doesn't sound like HIV to me.
For what its worth.
Take care and God Bless.

The effects u are feeling sounds like a infection to me allso, ARS is nothing like the symptoms u are describing. It sounds likes something that is stress related from you obsessing that you are posative when you have allready had a negitive test. The tests now are totaly reliable at 9 weeks, and a retest at 18 is just for people who are non- beleavers. Relax you are not infected and have a merry christmas, the letting go of the stress will have you felling great in no time. Thanx B
