TESTING PROCEDURE
      #13918 - 12/16/00 01:16 PM

If one lab took a blood sample from a person, in a quantity that is usual for performing only a general blood test, and then with that quantity of blood taken performs a general blood test and also an elisa hiv test that reads negative, can this elisa hiv test be trusted? Or should the lab had taken one shot of blood sample for the general test and another for the elisa test? Thank you.

Trust you Dr. Most of them know what they're doing. I would trust the labs as well. They are very careful with things like this.
