I recently read that Luc Montagnier, one of the discoverers of the HIV virus, has now come out and said that kissing with the exchange of saliva may transmit HIV. Has anyone heard of this? I don't know whether to worry about this since Montagnier seems to be a credible source (being that he discovered the virus). Does anyone have an opinion or any input on this?

There is a possibility of this happening, but the chances are so slim I don't know if they have even calculated them. As with anything there is always a remote possibility. I don't think this is anything to even concern yourself with or worry about.

Forget it. Don't even bother with this crap. The chances are next to 0!!!!!!! Unless you and an infected partner have bleeding gums while you're kissing and I don't think you'd be kissing if this was the case. Don't get caught up in this or you will spend your life kissing yourself. Enjoy.

If HIV were contracted my kissing, the numbers of people with HIV would likely be so much higher, its unfathomable. There is no way that it is a high risk activity- or even a medium risk activity.
