Would like to ask a few experts on this board......Jazz and others. Here is my story.
I was on a business trip a couple of weeks ago and met a girl (unknown status) in the bar of the hotel I was staying at. She was very hesitant on going back to one of our rooms. We were both pretty drunk and we proceeded to go to her room and eventually had unprotected vaginal sex (oral as well...but not worried about hiv there). She washed before and after the sex....on her own. She probably did not want to catch something from me...who knows. I know I was clean because I tested negative on everything not too long ago. Opinions on hiv risk please! Thank you.

Opinion,
You are a fool. You equate someone "washing up" with being HIV risk free.
You need tested at 13 weeks.
Report back in March with your test results.
For Christ sake, it is 2005!!!!! HIV and Aids have killed millions! Stop putting you cock in anything without latex covering it.
Yes, HIV is a difficult virus to transmit, even more so from female to male. But, it can happen. I can give you the names of 213 men whom contracted HIV from just this risk.
Am I scaring you and the rest of this forum? Good! At least I may spare another transmission.

I think that response was a little too harsh. Mistakes happen, we all make them. Yes, it is 2005 and there is plenty of information out there on how this disease is transmitted. I think one thing that we are all forgetting is NOT EVERYONE HAS IT! Of course everyone should know how to protect themselves and Jazz, I don't know your story but you are on this forum for a reason. Instead of being so harsh and judgemental remember that more than half of us are scared $hitless. Yes, it's stupid to have unprotected sex with someone you don't know. I agree with you 100% and I'm not saying let's sugar coat things but seriously your response was not necessary.

Perhaps I was a bit abrasive. In the light of a new day, I can see this. If you look at my posting history, you will see normally I am not this way. However, I have seen this scenario play out all to often.
1. Get Drunk
2. Get naked
3. Have unprotected sex.
4. Contract HIV.
I have spent time volunteering at my local Hospice(s) and have seen first hand folks in later stage, terminal AIDS. Folks that are a mere shell of whom they were. Folks that scream in pain when you lean on the bed because you moved them a milimeter.
I simply don't want to see this happen to this gentleman or anyone else.
I will tone it down........
