I went to the doctor's office and had blood drawn today. I'm pretty sure I saw her take a new, capped needle out, but then looked away while she was putting gloves on, and didn't see what she used and how she put it together.
Now I didn't see any used materials laying out or anything obvious like that. But I had to ask her to put gloves on, and she set the capped needle down on the testing table, so I'm not sure I really think much of their safety and sanitary practices at this point. There's no way she could have re-used an old needle or syringe, is there? I'm sure that's pretty much impossible with the way these things are set up nowadays, but would relieve my mind to ask, as I am one of those people who worries a great deal about HIV, HBV, etc.
Thank you.
