I had sex with a guy and he came in my butt. He said he was HIV neg. Later, guess from guilt, he told me he was HIV pos.
I am hearing the I have a 99% chance of being infected....is that true? I bought a pistol yesterday.....i am really losing my mind. Some one pls talk to me.....

Whom ever told you that is wrong. YES, you engaged in the highest risk there is next to sharing needles. But, you still have many things going in your favor. The virus is still a difficult one to transmit. Some put your risk at 1 in 300, so don't give up hope just yet.
You need to test in 3 months. You also need to STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED ANAL SEX, PERIOD!

5 weeks is a good indicator of your status. according to new york state, a 4 weeks neg means 95% safe.

And, put the pistol away. I personally know folks whom have been HIV + for 22 years or more.
Current and future advances in treatment are making HIV more and more a manageable disease.
I would take the 5 week ELISA with a DNA Polymerase Chain Reaction assay (PCR). A non reactive on both will be extremely encouraging.

Glad to see the previous post was deleted, but just for your own info don't listen to anything that poster has to say. Rjasin is a great person to listen to in this instance. I would, too, if it were me get both of the tests done and this should give you pretty darn close to definitive results(in my opinion, it will be conclusive, but some will still recommend the 13 week ELISA). You can go to requestatest.com depending on where you are and get these tests drawn at a local lab. It takes about a week for your PCR test results and a few days for the ELISA. I think the cost is around 250.00. Just a suggestion. GOOD LUCK TO YOU !!

I had unprotected insertive anal sex with a HIV+ male.. twice.
I got my final results yesterday & it was negative! So don't just give up hope!!!!
Have a test asap & dont give up, we have to fight!

Well, second time - because I was stupid. He only told me after the second time that he is positive... So unfair!
I know what you are going through, but get a test asap so you can face what is going on.. or not! Just think of how you will feel if it is negative... And if it is positive, you can try to face it and go on with your life.
Although i was insertive, i was also at high risk...
As for the gun - someone told me something when I was thinking of commiting suicide: We dont know what happens when we die, so why give up what you've got here... for the unknown?!?!?! Maybe it will help you as it did help me.
