HIV ELISA Test Question
      #132583 - 01/04/05 07:46 PM

One last question for all of you experts. I had an HIV test and it was negative. Does the ELISA test both HIV 1 & 2?? I have been in areas where HIV 2 is prevalent. However, while in those areas my risk was virtually non-existent. Just hoping I can let this rest with the 1 test.

If you have tested at the appropriate time, meaning 12 weeks or better, than you have tested negative. There is no need to test further. Best wishes to you!

You are 99.999% sure you are well. No real need for further tests.

Let it rest.
