Hi everyone. I was doing a little research into the type of EIA I had and found out it was 3rd generation. What are the benefits of a 3rd generation test? Are there any drawbacks? What is the best generation of EIA? Also I'm not sure if my test included HIV 2. Is this something to worry about? Does anyone know what percentage of times a 3rd gen. HIV 1 test will pick up HIV 2? Thanks for your help.
