injection of hiv from hiv positive person

I was at a party injecting drugs. I shared the needle with 2 other people. Later i found out that the guy i shared the needle with was hiv positive. I know i have to get tested. Is it 100% chance that i am infected since his hiv blood went directly into my body? IS THERE ANY WAY I WILL TEST NEGATIVE? It has been 3 months since incident and i am going to get tested soon. I feel 100% in my mind that i will be positive because needle sharing with hiv+ person is most contagious way to spread hiv i read. HELP

well ther is no sence lying to you, you had a high risk exposure. That's the bad news. The good news even with your exposure the odds are on your side you did not get infected. The only way to know is get tested. If you shoot up on drugs this is part of the deal. Hope you make it. If you do you should get some help because can't wear a condom to protect yourself from HIV if you shoot up.

Very nice compassion you share.....
As to the original poster. You engaged in the single highest risk there is. AND since the person is confirmed HIV+, it does not get any riskier. As the other anon said, the odds are in your favor you will test negative. But they are barely in your favor. If this happened less than 72 hrs ago, discuss PEP with your doctor or emergency room.

Bad thing usually accompany people thik the creep that said plane your funeral. He will be paided back as his life unfolds.

Sorry to hear about your recent exposure. You know you put yourself in the riskiest position possible here and are going to have to bear with it, take the test and deal with whatever results come your way. Wishing you all the best with your testing and I would suggest some HELP WITH YOUR DRUG PROBLEM in order to prevent anything like this from happening again.
