I'm sure because of all the symptoms -- fever, pharyngitis, rash, headaches, diarrhea, tinnitus, weight loss, and hypogonadism. It was "protected", but a touched the condom and then believe some blood from my hand must have gotten in my mouth.

First, you had protected sex - 10 points for you. Second, you mentioned blood in your mouth. Did you have any open sores or cuts? Third, did your doctor say that you had fever, pharyngitis, rash, headaches, diarrhea, tinnitus, weight loss, and hypogonadism or are you self diagnosing? Trust me, stress and anxiety can cause your body to go haywire and given the time of year, it could be a number of non-HIV viruses going around. Fourth, do you know for a fact that your partner was HIV+?
I think that before you start worrying about VL's, it should be confirmed that you are positive. Didn't your 1 month test tell you different as of this moment? I know it's so difficult but you have to do the best you can during this difficult waiting game. Your one month negative should give you some peace while you are waiting for your 3 month test.

Please remember, as difficult as this situation is, you are not alone.

Best of luck....

Tex

Ok, I may be wrong, but the similiarities of the posts, leads me to believe you're Hawaii Guy. What I said on the 19th still holds true. You can't diagnois from symptoms. You have to have a positive test in order to know that you have HIV. The CDC has already told you that you had a low risk encounter. The are very conserative in their opinions. I'm not saying it is impossible, but I am saying, more impossible than not. In a weeks time you have really gone down the path of fear. A week ago, you asked if anyone else felt like you, but sounded like you also knew it was probably because you were worried. Now, you're worried about viral loads and have one foot in the grave. You need to get a hold of yourself. You have one 4 week neg. That's encouraging. The CDC says you had low risk. That's encouraging. I would suggest you quit reading about HIV, before you drive your self completely nuts, and wait to see if you even have to worry about it. SYMPTOMS DON'T MAKE YOU POSITIVE.

Ad nauseum, you need to determine your HIV status first before you go thinking about a Viral Load test. Please, if you need to talk to someone, please call the GMHC hotline at: 1800AIDSNYC. == PVS

Thanks, and yes I know you should NOT compare any symptom against what is listed. However, I don't believe this is "psyco-semantic" reaction to what I read on the net. Something kicked my butt. And I know it is impacting my life so I made a Dr. appointment (Psychologists/Psychiatrist). I want to relieve some of the stress; also be better prepared when the test result return.

Thanks again
