30 test from Lab Corp

I just noticed several comments about versions of tests being used. I have not clue what all that means. I had a 30 negative test. It was done by lab corp. Are the results meaningful? Is this test not as sensative as those used elsewhere?

Forget "versions". BTW it is "generations" when describing an EIA / ELISA, and "version" when talking about PCR such as the ROCHE Amplicor version 1.5 RNA PCR.
Any "generation" is conclusive at 3 months. Your 30 day test is encouraging since the average time to seroconversion is 22-25 days.
What was your risk?

Thank you Jazz. I'm the idiot that posted a few days ago that had unprotected vaginal with a high risk person. I am due for my 13 week test next week. I think I might die before I make it through the next few days though. All my symptoms are so horrifying, the 30 day test was my only ray of hope. This suffering is bad. Thank you again.

Symptoms are irrelevant when addressing a person's HIV status.

Had rash in groin from 5th day until week 4. Looked like jock itch. Not much itch. Resolved after 30 days. Major sweating at night in groin week 2-4. Extreme exhaustion week 3-8. White tongue with fur week 4-8. Swelling glands week 4 and still persist.

symtomps usually came all at once, relax you 30 days negative is very encourage NYHD says a 3th generation elisa test is about 95% accurate at 4 weeks so take a breath and go for your 12 week, dont forget let us know you are. Good luck
