HOW LONG BEFORE THINGS HAPPEN
      #11275 - 10/24/00 01:43 AM

not sure how to ask this so here goes, i know after you have been exposed to hiv it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks before the onset of symptoms such as flu like symptoms and they go away after a short period, my question is then how long on the average is it before other symptoms arise and what would they be? thanks for this site and i look forward to all replys.

After ARS, it would be years and years and years before any other symptoms appears. That's why people can be walking around and not know they have hiv. You would probably start with fungel infections, for women a higer amount of yeast infections. Possible itchy skin, some rashes. Fatique is a biggie, however lots of things can cause that. I have a problem with that, but it's due to medication not the disease itself. I've been positive for 4 years and still am asymptomatic.
