3 month window period not be valid ? this is why

Is it true that if you are co-infected with Hep, your seroconversion time takes longer than 3 months? I read somewhere that many people that have HIV also have Hep A,B, or C. Does this mean every time you are exposed from unprotected sex, you need to test for Hep and wait for 6 months? Is this why Dr. Bob said when exposed with confirmed HIV positive window period is 6 months? Also, For some people who claim to get datas from the experts, did you guys ask did they factor in the risk of co-infection with Hep? Think about this. Your window period might be 6 months not 3!!!!! Why else Dr. Bob say 6 months when you have sex with known HIv positive?

hmm, so everyone should test at 6 months? This is mainly true for those with occupational accidents, I think. Get the experts to answer this, but then who are the experts here?

I don't think hepatitis is the reason for the 6 month testing although if you were coinfected, I would test at 6 months. I personally will test at 6 months anyhow due to the confusion about whether you were exposed to an HIV pos person or not. I really think the window should be the window IF you actually had a possible exposure to begin with(not protected sex or any NON exposure).

this is my worst fear. unproteced oral sex left me with hep b. i have had night sweats, fever, yellow tongue you name it. last hiv test was neg exactly after 6 months ago. i hope im o.k. but then what happened to me/

According to CDC 95 to 97% seroconvert by 3 months and 99.7% by 6 months. So to be absolutely sure, IF YOU WANT, take the test again at 6 months. However, 3 months is usually conclusive for most cases.
