I recently have this red tip on my tongue and over the past year i had unprotected sex, ive read that apthous ulcers are a sign of hiv infection, do they just appear in certain spots or i hear they are very painful, this is more of a red area and not sure if its ulcer or not, it seems to be worse right after eating, if im not eating its not very visible but after eating its quite visible, any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

You have geographic tongue (aka benign migratory glossitis). I have had this for about 4 months now. Its somewhat of an autoimmune disorder that is just a nuisance. It is not an oral manifestation of hiv.
A test at 12 weeks from the last possible exposure is the only way to get comfort, but if this is your only symptom, dont stress over it. It is likely stress and diet related (my doctor says lots of red wine consumption can cause it).
