I was wondering if any county health dept. around the country would be using elisas first generation. Is everyone using 3rd or 4th generation?

My guess is that most of the labs that actually do the testing are using the latest technology. I do know that the Home Access test uses first generation. However, from what I understand that does not make it any less accurate. The first generation tests were just not quite as sensitive for early detection and were more capable of returning false positives. Either way, if you test beyond the window period, your result should be accurate.
