Ok like some of you guys that are driving yourselfs nuts trying to figure out if you have hiv ....i been doin it since febuary and its now almost july! Like everyone else i immediatly search the net for answer's, and now i think i am a pro at knowing hiv! I finally went to get tested on friday, and now i feel better that i did it... i get the results tomorrow... wish me luck... but either way pos or not i am changing my life... no more not careing if i get the virus or not... basicly if you read this and are too afraid to get tested dont be in the long run it'll help you out! Dont be like me and took the chance of ruining someone i love deeply's life and my own because i was dumb and didnt care! Try living witht hat the rest of your life... be smart and cover your stump when you hump!

Hey,
First of all sorry it's so long. But I had to vent.
I can definately relate to you and where you are at. I did the stupid thing and had unprotected sex about 3.5 wks ago. The symptoms I am having after looking on the net are very consistent with ARS. I can't believe I was this stupid. My story is below:
The act started with me fingering her, she gave me oral without ejaculation, during the oral I felt like I was ready so I penetrated and stroked maybe twice and ejaculated, then washed up quickly and that was besides kissing. I don't know if this is low risk or not , but my luck I will be the .03% percenter. I know i was irresponsible, and I could deal with it if I was alone, but I am in love and at the time of the incident we had seperated but I also have a child. The stress is killing me from the inside out.
My symptoms are as follows, compare them to yours and let me know.
Sore neck, slightly swollen neck and underarm lymphs, no fever, no diarrhea, no rashes yet, sore throat, headaches which are uncommom for me, and now white bumps on my upper lip, hard to tell if the groin lymphs are swollen cause i'm a big guy. I just know in my head that I have something, STD or HIV one of them. And believe me it's hard, I am soo mad at myself for involving others in my stupidity. I had sex with my girlfriend unprotected after that incident, and I pray that I didnt' infect her with something, I couldn't deal with that.
The other thing is i keep reading this stuff on the net and get hope then dispare,and i can't remember most of it. Do you know if there is a test I can take at only 22 days.

Think positive the odds are way in your favor.
If you can afford it take a PCR/DNA test at > 28 days.
It is a test that looks directly for the HIV virus - not anitbodies which can take up to 6 weeks to show up.
So, right now it is useless to test with anitbody test. If you don't go for the dna/pcr test wait until 6 weeks and get the Elisa antibody test.
A NEG at 6 weeks is a god indciation of a favorbale result at
the12 week mark which you will need to test again.
