Social & Scientific Systems, a growing employee-owned technical and research support firm in Silver Spring, Maryland, has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager to serve as the lead program person for OAR Caribbean Program. The primary activity is to provide leadership and client support for a trans-Caribbean conference on HIV/AIDS-related research in the Caribbean (tentatively planned for late 2011 or early 2012). Requires Bachelor’s degree and project/program management experience with experience in conference planning, financial management, and Government contracting regulations. Experience working with and an understanding of Caribbean regional organizations, communities, and cultures and the ability to bring this experience and understanding to SSS/OAR for this initiative and to effectively work with individuals and groups within these communities. The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in one or more non-English Caribbean regional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, or Dutch) is strongly preferred.
