Client Advocate/GMHC NYC

The Client Advocate will provide clients with a time-limited, goal specific service that resolves complaints and problems regarding health care access and financial/entitlement issues. This position works as a member of a health care access/benefits/entitlements team, investigating clients' needs, setting priorities for services to clients based on accepted definitions of pressing social, medical and benefit needs, and advocating for timely resolution of conflicts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, experience working with people with HIV/AIDS, healthcare delivery and/or benefits/entitlements, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
