This is a great site! I was wondering if taking melatonin (for sleep) is OK for poz individuals? I ordered a bottle but when it arrived the label said do not use if you have auto-immune disease! Anybody know about this?? Thanx and keep up the great site!

Dr. Frascino on this site says it's ok as do other docs on this site.... http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/Fatigue/Archive/Sleep/Q66274.html http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SideEffects/Archive/Various/Q1892.html http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SideEffects/Archive/Various/Q4619.html

I've been using melatonin for 2+ years now and have absolutely no ill effects. My regimen is Combivir & Sustiva, plus a daily multi-vit.

Well, since HIV isn't an autoimmune disease, I don't see the problem. Autoimmune diseases are things like Lupus, Rheu.Arthritis, Chrohn's...etc
