vasectomies and safe Sex

Can anyone tell me if having unprotected sex with a guy that has had a vasectomy is classes as safe or unsafe.
The guy has been tested and is negative.

If you mean sex without a condom,than sex is unsafe even if he has had a vasectomy. HIV is carried not only in the sperm but also the seminal fluid which is what the naked eye sees. Remember modes of transmission intimate sexual contact that includes exposure to blood, semen,or vaginal or cerivical secretions of an infected partner. Blood to Blood contact with infected blood or blood products or sharing used uncleaned drug or tatoo works and passage of virus from mother to infant in utero, during labor and delivery,or through breast feeding. A vascectomy only helps to prevent pregnancy by blocking and usually scarring the ducts that deliver the microscopic sperm to the prostate and seminal duct where the fluid is made. I hope this helps. Sperm cannot be infected with HIV. Only certain types of cells can be infected.
