skin rashes
      #6780 - 07/07/00 06:54 AM

Hi,
Is anyone currently taking Viramune with Combivir? I have developed a skin rash from the Virmaune. This is exactly like the rash I developed when I was taking Sustiva, which the doctor took me off of immediately. I am currently in the second week of dosing on Viramune. I have no problems with the combivir.
My question is, does this rash ever subside or does it just get worse. I am going to call the doctor this morning.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, I've been on this combination for more than two years. I did, however, start with the viramune and then took the combinar after about two weeks. I have had mild skin rashes, from time to time, but nothing cronic which required removal from the drugs. It's worked miracles since I have no HIV detection above 50 copies...
