LOVING SOMEONE WHO IS HIV+
I would like to tell my Story, I am 32 year old male who met a
wonderful man who is hiv+ he let me know right from the start.
But I couldn't help falling in love with him..I live for the
positive in our life and we enjoy each day to the fullest. being
with Ken has made me myself enjoy life so much more...But at
times I do get to feeling the pressures of his HIV+ status and I
worry about our time together but I also believe that whatever
time we have to gether it will be well worth the pain.....So I
guess I am saying to people don't overlook someone just because
they are HIV+....I am glad I didn't and I enjoy my life..... Greg

Greg, you inspire me on the positive attitude you have to your
relationship. I have been positive for about 5yrs and I have yet
to establish a relationship. I fear being upfront about my
situation. But I do refain from sexual contact to possible
prospects. I would like to inquire on the type of sexual
relationship you might have with your partner. I do have an
aquaintance whom I am sexual with but can not see us being in an
emotional relationship, the feeling in mutual on his part. When I
was diagnosed I had a partner and are relationship lasted two
years after that . He never tested positive and I thank a higher
power for that. We ceased our relationship due to not being able
to be sexual. I still love him dearly but in a way I guess it
wasn't enough. I am healthy at the moment and dont forsee any
immediate problems. So my question once again to you or any one
else in a similar situation. How easy is it to be upfront a

Greg, thank you for coming forward with your story. Although I
have AIDS, I still need to be loved and have the capacity to
love. It takes a real "gent" to love someone the way you do.

Samuel, Thanks for your response and I can tell you that you will
find love on day keep up the positive attitude. It really hasn't
been easy between Ken and I many issues and HIV is one of those.
It is a monster that rises it's head every now and then to crash
into my lovers world and affect everything we do but I could love
him no less or no more due to this.
