Does anyone have any information on traveling to non-democratic countries with HIV meds in your carry-on? And not being allowed in the country?
I went to Syria earlier this year and rather than take my meds, I took a 2 week drug holiday from my very successful nuke/non-nuke combo. That caused me to become resistant and I'm now back on PI's. I plan to go to Cuba early next year. Has anyone been to Cuba with HIV meds?
As it turned out I could have brought a whole drugstore into Syria and noone would have noticed.

It's a crap shoot. Don't know about Cuba Just bring a doctor's note for all the medications. My brother used to mail the medications also a head...this way he'd cover all his bases...you can also duplicate your meds in your check in...this way you probably will get the meds in one way or another...

Take the drugs with you on the plane and keep them in your pockets. Also keep a duplicate in your check in. Good luck

There used to be a web site that had a listing of countries and their criteria about hiv+ people that travel. One thing I do remember that was posted on the site was the U.K. can refuse an hiv+ person entry. And if someone does not look "well", hiv+ or not, that they will not allow a person into their country until they submit to an hiv test. I don't know how accurate the info was at this web site, but that's what it told. I am going to try to find it again, and if I do I will post the address.

Here's the link: http://www.thebody.com/state_dept/entry.html But most of these are only for long stays...Remember the U.S. doesn't allow anyone with HIV into the country. But all my friends with HIV come and go and even have the meds in their carry on or in their check in luggage. They have never been checked! As long as you don't look ill, there's no red flag.
