hi,everyone,i went to the doctors today and my cd4 count is still falling.example oct 01 cd4 820,
march02 cd4 700,
june 02 cd4 560,
for the last test in june,i used a different lab,
could that make such a difference?.
my exposure was in june/july01.
ive had a lot of neg tests including dna pcr (may 02)
BDNA VIRAL LOAD<50COPIES ML(MARCH)02.
LIVERENZYMES ARE RAISED.IE ALT,8GT.
I HAD ANOTHER RAPID TEST TODAY(15MINS RESULT,NEG).
MAYBE IM ONE OF THESE PEOPLE THAT DONT MAKE ANTIBODYS OR SOMTHING,OR MAYBE ITS A STRANGE MUTATED VIRUS?.
PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE,STILL SWEATING ALL DAY LONG,
IM UNDERGOING A BANK LOAD OF BLOOD TESTS,BUT THE DOCS SEEM CONFUSED,I MIGHT GO TO FRANCE,THEY SEEM MORE CLUED UP,ABOUT THIS NASTY VIRUS.PLEASE KIND AMERICANS AND EVERYONE HELP ME.IM SAD AND PATHETIC.........JOHN. LONELY.....

John,
Why do you not belive the tests, we have ben over this in the "am i infected" page for a month now, you have tested negitive past the window period and still want to say you are infected. If you are having medical problems i would suggest that you check in to a hospital and do not leave till they can give you a solid answer. By what you have said in the past the symptoms you are having are not HIV related, I do not see why someone who has tested negitive so many times is so obsessive that he is positive when the tests say he isn't. You should check in somewhere and get some help. None of us on this page are doctors and can not diagnose you, but some of us are wondering why you are so obsessed with being positive when you have tested past 12 months after exposure. All of the advice you have ben given you have chosen to ignore, so please go check in to a hospital and get some help because you need it.

By every thing you stated in your posting, you have eliminated HIV-1. You have not stated that you have ever been tested for Hepatitis. Hepatitis B & C & undifferentiated will mimic the symptoms of HIV. Falling CD4 counts, sweats, fevers, etc. The elevated liver enzymes are not consistant with HIV, but a marker of a hepititis infection. I recognise the symptoms from my own bout with Hep B years ago. There are also other common diseases associated usually with travel to the tropics that will show the same symptoms, but usually progress rapidly. Days or weeks, not months. But Hepatitis will slowly over months.
Get tested for Hepatitis as soon as possible. Hepititis B & C is very contagious in comparison to HIV and transmitted in the same manner, and sooner treatment will reduce liver damage. I cannot image why they have not tested you already for it, with the symptoms you have and the negative HIV tests, and the elevated liver enzymes.

I don't think you should be worried, it's true it is scary when thing go in the wrong way, But the most important thing is to keep your morale up, because the more you feel down the more likely you will get something.
I am a French person and maybe you could go and see a doctor there, but before doing this why not try to go to Brighton at the lawson unit and see my Consultant doctor Martin Fisher he work closely with French docteor in Paris
