I am going to be tested this week because I recently found out that a former lover is HIV positive. Though I did not know at the time of course. I gave him oral sex for a few seconds before he pushed me away, though I didn't know why. How likely is contraction after such minimal contact?

Not very likely, but if you're losing sleep over it you should probably get tested just for your own piece of mind.
