I am a 29 year old male who had a "safe" sex with another male a week ago. I was insertive and I used a condom. After two or three minutes I realized that the condom burst.Luckily, it slightly burst. My cock was still completely covered only on one side of the tip of my cock there was breakage of 1 inch.So that side was bare but very dry without any fluids.I am very concerned and I don`t know how risky it was for contracting HIV.Do you think that a condom was still some kind of protection??? Has anybody had a similar experience??All truthful answers are appreciated. Thanks

From all of the information regarding transmission, by the logic that part of your penis was still protected from direct contact (but not fluid contact, holes still leak), may have offered some protection. Best bet is to get advise from the experts here at the Body's website.
But I have to say, no answer will or can be 100% accurate, as there are a number of other factors to consider.

If you were the insertive partner then the risk even if you had not used a condom is very low to you unles you are uncut. Even then the risk is only slightly higher for insertive. The biggest thing tho is if the other guy was negative then there is no risk what so ever. I know several mixed status couples where the HIV positive one is the bottom in the relationship and the tops have never used condoms and are find after several years.
Good Luck

It's not true that the insertive partner is at no risk. Just 8 times less risk then receptive partner. No one came? So less risk. Can you find out status of guy? You are at risk for other stds...so check for those. (HPV, syphillis, etc)
