in 96 i was diagnosed with pml because of ct scan and mir i lost ability of speech, walking, writing and bacically have blurred vision in 98 i had a spinal tap which was negative for jc virus i then had a brain biopsy whitch was neg so i dont have pml but i still have the lesion and neurological deficeits and now am at a lost for cause i have 475t-cells undetecteble viral load any ideas would be greatly appreciated

What AIDS medications are you or were you using.

Did you get a test for toxo in spinal fluid? I had the same thing.

Has anyone checked for toxo or mac?go to the internet and searh for the manifestation s and nuerilogical complications of hiv.
Ive found out there is much that can affect . Im going through it all again. so search and re search. knowledge is power. and go check out the delphi forums aids bord . there are alot of knowledgble folks who can offer infor and such. See you there . Till then take care and stay well

I was diagnosed with toxxo a long time ago and am still on maintenance. It was discovered because first I couldn't control my left hand and arm and my gait was affected. So from there it was an MRI with contrast. And 7 years later I had a retest but could not get off the maintenance meds because yoour t-cell had to be over 200 for 6 months. Well I'm finally over that mark but something has shown back up .Figures. This time I will be speaking to a neurologist. I'm hoping its just lymes disease. Ironic isn't it to see certain ailments as more acceptable than others Geeze. Hey one thing at a time is all I can do right now cause I got no more room on my plate . Got to do hep c tx too
Told you I had a plateful. Hey I do what I can and the rest I leave in my Saviors hand. Oh an an interesting tidbit for those that don't know is the right side of your brain controls the left side of your body , amazing isn't it?!
