Ok. first time I have sex after a 12 yr relationship that was monogamous and safe I contract HIV. Wrapping my brain around that idea has been tough but I've become fairly even with it. Now I've come to find out I have herpes, HPV, and warts. What happened? My t-cells are in the 350's and v-load has never risen above 20,000. I'm losing hope fast. I feel dirty. I know that sounds juvenile but I do. HIV is one thing but now with this news I don't know how much more I can Take!? Even as I write this I feel the stress welling up in me and t-cells dropping by the letter. HELP!!!

I am not going to lecture you about stress because I have more than most people lately. I have been HIV positive for around 20 years. You will get used to LIVING WITH HIV. Its very important in the first few years to have a good SUPPORT system and have friends to talk to. If need be see a counselor or join a support group.

I am so sorry to hear about your status, but I guess you have come to the right place. I know they can deal with most of the STD's with drugs, but you have to keep in mind, now that you are virally enhanced (not that it is a good thing) that you are more prone to get STD's. Glad you are here, things will get better. D
