I am getting my thoughts on who really has HIV. Does anyone have any thought on what percentage of gay men are infected?

What do you mean "your thoughts" on hiv? Really when we talk about hiv we review truth and untrue. Gay men only have hiv is untrue.

Let me expand a little. I did not mean this in a negative way at all. Let me start by saying that I am scared to death that I may have been infected with HIV about a week ago. I am a straight male who had a first encounter with another man. I know that I am very uninformed and I mean no harm. I am just trying to figure my chances. He entered me for a minute or two at the most. He never climaxed and he used plenty of lube. I do not know his HIV status and I just have a million things running through my brain.

You are not "straight". Straight men would not have sex with other men, even for a second. You are likely bisexual if you are okay with sexual relations with men or women.

A second woman chiming in. I agree with Jenn. You are not a straight man. That's OK, but just admit it.
In the meantime, his entering you, even for just a few seconds unprotected is known as dipping an can be a vector in HIV transmission.
Get tested at 13 weeks and next time use a condom from the very BEGINNING.

anyone can have hiv, not cause you are gay you are in higher risk. hetro thinks that cause they do not, maybe getting up their ass, they will not get hiv, everyone is bulnereable.
gay, sex, hetero se, mutal se, animal sex...all with condoms are safe.period.

Yeah, I meant to imply that also. There is nothing wrong with being straight, gay or bi. Just don't live in denial of who you really are. Plus, don't be "worried" with only sex with men, be protective with anyone you decide to be intimate with....good luck.

To the poster...Mr Anon....
Yours is not the first and wont be the last post like this. There are many many men out there like you, who are ambivalent about their sexuality and do not always practice safe sex (for whatever reason). The ONLY answer your post needs is this: If you do not know your HIV status, get tested. Its important to know your HIV status.

In some African countries 25% of the population is infected with HIV. 25% of the population there is not gay. It is a sexually transmitted disease, period.
