I accidently ran into this article while browsing a news site, and I couldn't beleive what I was reading. Its about "Bug chasers", people who intentionally want to infect themselves because they find it erotic.
Its very strange, and if it is true I'm sure its only a very small group who participate in this. But its still mind boggling.
What do you guys think?

It's called "breeding" the bottom. I've had guys ask me to do it. I obviously refuse, it's insane.
it's the erotic thrill of the danger of a "deadly" exposure added to the intense pleasure of sex. The ultimate submission to a dominant top I guess.
I doubt they really want to find out they are positive six months later.

I was the one who posted about my exBF. I can tell you, that he is awaiting the results from his mail-in test with fear. I took him two months to admit what he had done (he coudn't even admit it to himself). It took a guy at another party refusing to have sex with him unless a condom was worn to make him realize the gravity of the situation.
iIcan't speak for 'they', but he is certailny freaking out now....
From what I understand about that article, though, a good bit of it has been discredited. But I know of one person who has done it, and it makes me sad beyond belief....

that atricle is really fucked up. Its so sad to see people thinking that oh once you get hiv nothing worse can happen. Those people have such low self esteem and self appreication that they are willing to trade their lives for the perceved endless party and sex. Makes me very very sad. I would never want this,,, never want to be infected and then there are these selfish assholes who treat life like its nothing. no answers for this madness in life I know but it makes me feel sick, sad, mad and pity...

It is TRUE. Gerald J. Stine discusses it every year in his annually updated text book on HIV. Its so sad.

Not sure how small the group is that chases bugs. I have been approached by 2 people who want me to bareback them since I found out I was pos.
