I'm a total top. Always amazed that almost every guy I've met wants me to bareback them till I tell them I'm poz so it has to be with a condom and then they don't want to have sex at all.
It's like bare back sex is safe if they go just by my word...(which is a DANGEROUS thing to do)
but suddenly NOT safe when I tell them I'm poz and need to use a condom (which is MUCH safer)....
Go figure

"Anon", how long did you bareback until you got infected? CDC statistics say there is a 6.5 in 10,000 chance to get infected from a positive bottom. What do you say to that?

Just like you said, I barebacked as a top and eventually got infected.
I don't believe those statistics. I've talked to other total tops who've gotten infected.
There's more to transmission than I think we really know about.

Why do men engage in unprotected receptive anal intercourse if the top says he is negative...just based on his word....I don't get it. Maybe one wants to believe it won't happen to them or they just want to have the freedom and pleasure without a condom?

i agree that we do not know all the statistcs about transmission. I only topped 2 people once unprotected and one of those times got me pos.

Wow, I was lucky for dodging the bullet then. I'm a top, usually use protection but a few times barebacked. In early Dec, I barebacked a guy who I later found out is pos. BIG wake up call! Fast forward 6 mos and I'm still NEG... I surely learned my lesson. I never really enjoyed using rubbers but there's no other option anymore.
