BF needs a Job .. We need suggestions

Hullo people,
My bf is trying to change careers. he used to be a stylist and interpreter (spanish, portugese) but got ill with a few OI's last year. He recovered by Jan and is now looking for employment. He wants to work with a non profit AIDS agency. He is already volunteering at one of the local non profit HIV care givers here 3 times a week, and even though they thank the powers that be everyday for his assistance, they sem to have no intention of hiring him any time soon. He doesnt want to go back to the salon and beauty industry. Any suggestions of where we should look. I have already tried craigslist and the local newspaper websites. I was thinking of suggesting some temp agencies to him. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Go directly to the businesses in your community's websites and look on there job boards (usually things that aren’t listed in the periodicals), or go back to school and get a better degree.

He should look for jobs in aids organizations that need people who speak spanish. But he really needs a skill...is he trained for HIV prevention or outreach? They generally need outreach people. He needs to go to all the ASOs he can find in the area and see if they have anything. If he's serious, maybe he can go back to school and become a social worker...they need skilled people at ASOs.
