Do you? I haven't seen a KS lesion on someone since, goodness I don't know when and I've had HIV since the early eighties. As I remember it wasn't the ones you could see that were as dangerous as the ones you couldn't. But then I shouldn't needlessly give people something to worry about.

Difficult color to coordinate Kaposi's purple, yellow was never right and the color was too blue for red, orange went well with it, but then who really does look good in orange, except well maybe...oh I take it back.

Make-up wouldn't cover the lesions either, even if you trowelled it on.

Now what is your real question? Is it for you, or someone else? Please be comfortable to ask for informaion here. You will recieve replies with answers, possibly in various stages and opinions, and maybe suggestions on where you can search for what you are looking for.

It must have been important for you too have asked the first question. It sems you are wanting an answer to another . So let us know where you want assistance. Many of your answers will come from people with actual previous experience as to the subject matter of what you ask. People are here to help.

Sit back, take a couple good breaths to relax, and start typing.

What was that question, again?

I have KS new
      #179111 - 03/09/06 08:36 PM

Yes, I have it and I hate it. It's pretty rare, but not all THAT rare as these guys have said.

Sorry, but 'My goodness!" isn't exactly a helpful answer to the poor guy. What are some of these guys thinking in posting such awful responses?! I've never visited this site before, and am astonished to read such a callous response as the one from Scot to a straightforward inquiry.

Pos here for 18 years. Over the years, I got it a few times and got rid of it (nitrous oxide treatment or it just went away) , but now it won't go away, nor will the scars. That's really the issue - even when the KS is inactive, the lesions don't necessarily fade away. Some fade and some don't. Some people are just more prone to certain infections than others, despite relative health otherwise . My provider and derm consults say that the only real treatment, (considering what I have is basically a cosmetic issue) is to get the blood counts improved. But my T-cells are stuck, though aside from that I'm healthy, given the positivity. Is that your problem too?

David is right, you need to be more forthcoming about your questions regarding KS. As always, you aren't alone. Given the shocking "Goodness, I haven't seen that in Years! (Clutch the pearls)" style responses, you have reason to be wary about seeking help from bulletin boards.
